We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from CCHS, you have to complete an online application at http://www.collincountyhumanesociety.org/adoption-application.html and we will contact you asap about the status of your application.
Ginger is a 5 1/2 year old, 55 lbs Coonhound. She is a very loving and active dog! Her favorite thing to do is to play with her ball. When outside, she will either play catch or 'sun' outside with the ball safe in her bed. She loves to run and play with other dogs. She does great at dog parks or doggie day care settings. She is super excited to see new people and we are working on her impulse control (jumping on house guests).
Her favorite toy is her blankie. She 'nurses' her favorite blankets to relax. She would do best in a home without small children or less chaos as she gets a little anxious when in a home with too much going on. Her ideal home would be with or without other dogs and adults only.
She's house trained and crate trained. She knows commands sit, stay, heel and down. She is spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped and all ready for her forever home!

NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply.
