Tank's Story...

Meet Tank, a handsome 1-year-old black and white male kitty who is sure to knock your socks off. Tank came to Seattle Humane with his littermates and mom (Shasta) as a kitten. Tank is a very playful cat and can turn anything into a game. He loves playing with the other cats in his foster home, too. His foster mom says that he plays hard-to-get for petting and will let her pet him for a minute and then will walk away only to run back over wanting more pets. Tank is currently staying in a loving foster home where he's soaking up all of the attention. If you would like to meet Tank, please contact our Adoption Department at adoption@seattlehumane.org. You'll be glad you did!

Tank tested positive for Feline Leukemia. When kept indoors, an FeLV-positive cat can live a happy life like any other feline. He is currently living in a volunteer foster home and is available for adoption from foster care. Our staff would be happy to speak with you about FeLV and Tank’s long-term needs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tank, a Bellevue Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellevue, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bellevue.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellevue already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellevue breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellevue paves the way for another one to be saved.
