Bryan's Story...
I’m a catch. Seriously…I don’t want to toot my own horn, but sometimes you have to put subtlety aside and say things like: “I’m one of the most kick a** dogs you’re ever going to meet!” Let’s get one thing out of the way, and move on to the goods: I don’t like cats, unless you’re looking to have them eradicated from your backyard. Now if you’re still reading this, you are in for a treat. I’m a real lover. I’m playful, affectionate, and fun. Love romping with other dogs and enjoy the company of sturdy children. I’m crate trained, and I walk pretty well on a leash…I’m very smart and love learning new things. So if you like teaching, it’s your lucky day! Now I’m hoping you can provide a kick a** youngster like me with the security of a forever home, with all the love you can spare! 11 months old-55lbs. My adoption fee is $220 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bryan, a Portland German Shepherd Dog/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Border Collie for sale in Portland, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Border Collie breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
