Hank's Story...
Hank appears to be a full blooded Treeing Walker Coonhound. However, we believe hunting is not a passion with him and he would be just as happy as a pet and valued family member. A quote from a person who has Coonhounds: ";Those who don't believe a coonhound can be a house dog are so wrong I've had English coonhounds as our house dogs for 15 years. Quiet,,loyal, protective, smart, and will walk through hell for you. "
He has a pretty laid back personality and was very happy to leave the animal shelter to come to his foster home. He was extremely thin, but has eaten well and now weighs a respectable 67 pounds. He is learning to walk on a leash. He doesn't chase cats and appears to get along well with other dogs. He is fully vetted, neutered, heartworm negative, and on hw/flea & tick preventative. Please call his foster at 270-841-9360 or SAFE Haven at 270-963-2014 for more information. You may also request an application at safehavenky@gmail.com. Hank is about three years old.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hank, a Princeton Treeing Walker Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Treeing Walker Coonhound for sale in Princeton, or seeking a Treeing Walker Coonhound dog from a breeder in Princeton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Princeton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Princeton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Treeing Walker Coonhound breeders who help with Treeing Walker Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Princeton paves the way for another one to be saved.
