Toby's Story...
Up for adoption: Toby

He can be adopted in Texas.

Toby is about 50-55 pounds, about 10-11 months old, and will definitely get bigger before he's done growing (you should see his paws!).

Toby is an incredibly snuggly, very lovable dog who will be very bonded to his new family, and happy to go anywhere they go. He seems to think he is a lap dog - his foster parents think he should have been born a Chihuahua! He loves running around in his foster’s fenced in yard, as well as going on two walks a day and playing with his canine siblings. He gets along with all dogs, and even gets along with his foster’s persnickety cat. He is an overall great dog who is very loyal, playful and super sweet.

Toby is house broken, neutered, micro-chipped & fully vaccinated. If you would like to make Toby a member of your family, please apply at www.luckylabrescue.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Toby, a Austin Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Austin, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
