Introducing Gordon, the three-legged wonder dog! When we first met this 1-year-old, Chihuahua mix, he was in a local shelter nursing a painful looking and obviously old injury to his right front leg. Despite his sad circumstances he still seemed happy to see us and greeted us with the enthusiasm we have come to expect from this joyful little guy. Since coming to The Pet Rescue Center Gordon has had that leg amputated and is recovering well. He is getting around like a champion and is just as fast on three legs as he was on four. Now it’s time for Gordon to find a home to call his own. He is still quite young and will need an active family, willing to provide training and guidance to ensure that he grows and succeeds. This little guy has no idea that he is a dog with a disability and should not be treated any differently than your average pup. If you’re heart melts for tripods, give The Pet Rescue Center a call today to meet our pal Gordon.
ADOPTION PROCESS:
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. Completed applications can be submitted online, faxed to (949) 743-5878 or emailed to: adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org
Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to save the lives of dogs and cats at risk of euthanasia. The Pet Rescue Center is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
