TAN'AI is a beautiful and sweet black and white tuxedo female adult kitty. One vet estimated her age at 3 years old and another vet at 6 years old, but we believe her to be closer to 3. She was found homeless and pregnant, and subsequently had her babies after she was rescued. Her kittens grew up and were adopted, and Tan'ai has been living in a loving foster home learning to trust humans. She loves head pets and chin scritches, but is not a "needy" girl -- she would be the perfect kitty companion for someone who works alot. Her favorite toys are a laser light and her stuffed ostrich, and she goes completely silly for cat nip. She would prefer a quiet household, without noisy kids. She does well with other kitties after a proper introduction, and might be OK with a respectful dog. She is being offered on a shy cat special of $60 (sponsored by Main St Mini Storage), which is strictly to help cover our costs. She has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (she is negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed – plus you get a free vet visit. Tan'ai is currently in foster care. To meet her for more info, call Beth at (541) 255-9296.

About West Coast Dog and Cat Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for companion animals of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Emporium on Coburg Rd. WCDC works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. WCDC is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help WCDC save as many animal lives as possible.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our cats can be seen at Petsmart on Chad Drive and on Willamette St, at Petco near Valley River Center and Wags Emporium on Coburg Rd, seven days a week during normal business hours. We do have adoption counselors available on weekends or by appointment or from 11-4pm Sat.-Sun.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.
