Hondo's Story...
Hondo is a 2 year old, 72 pound retired racing Greyhound. This man just joined us and has become a kennel favorite. He is a very handsome grey with a “painted” face that is just begging for kisses! He is active and social in the turnout pen and enjoys interacting with the other dogs and volunteers alike! Unfortunately, Hondo has a medical condition that requires him to be on medication daily. Fortunately, the medication is affordable and if given consistently, his condition will remain under control and he can live a normal life! Come by the kennel and see this special man! His racing name was Mexican Hondo.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hondo, a West Palm Beach Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in West Palm Beach, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in West Palm Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Palm Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Palm Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Palm Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
