My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is sweet Hunter, a lab mix. What a lovebug!! He was comfortable with me from the beginning and loved to just stand by me and have me pet him and love on him. He has a very sweet gaze and looks you right in the eye with a big smile on his face. He loved his milkbone treats and sat for them on command. He took them very gently out if my hand. He has an expressive tail that goes into a happy curl when he's running around. Hunter is housetrained, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and he also walks well on a leash. His estimated DOB is 5/29/13 and he weighs about 50 pounds.

A volunteer says: "what Hunter wants most is to be by your side and give and get love. He will stand one inch from me and soak in the strokes, scritches, and ear rubs for as long as I'm willing to do it! Hunter doesn't zoom around; he'll trot around and investigate, but mostly just soaks up his environment."

Another volunteer says: "Hunter is shy at first and would be a great fit for an older person or couple. He's extremely sweet, low maintenance, walks VERY easily on a leash and will stay right next to you when off leash at the park. He gets along with small dogs but gets nervous around bigger dogs. He will growl at them but stops immediately when told no. He's much more interested in people than dogs and is eager to please. He also comes when called."

Hunter tested positive for heartworms on intake and was treated with immiticide injections x 2 in April, 2016, and takes monthly preventatives. He also had a history of distemper sometime in his past as he has a slight tic on occasion which just adds to his charm:)

Hunter lives in Houston, Texas, but is available for travel to other cities via United Petsafe. Hunter's adoption fee is $475 which includes his travel certificate, travel crate, neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and airline fees. A customs fee may apply at Canadian airports. To adopt Hunter, please submit an adoption application at www.corridorrescue.org under More Information. Thanks!
