Harley's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Harley's Story...
Harley is a 1 1/2 year old lab mix who is amazingly sweet and gentle. He gets along great with other dogs, and he definitely comfortable as part of a pack. He is crate trained, neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. He's still very much a sweet, happy puppy who loves to cuddle with you on the couch.

You'd never know from his happy disposition that he had a rough start in life. He was dumped along the side of a freeway in Tampa, and he burrowed a tunnel into the brush and waited for two weeks for someone to come back for him. A passerby noticed him and started bringing him food and water, and eventually coaxed him out. Scars on his legs and face make it pretty apparent that he was badly mistreated, so he's still a little cautious when he meets new people.

Harley would make a great addition to any family. All he needs is a little patience and love and he'll be your best friend for life!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harley, a Jacksonville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
