Facts about Chewie

  • Breed: Alaskan Malamute
  • Color: Gray/Blue/Silver/Salt & Pepper
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: X-Large 101 lbs (46 kg) or more
  • Sex: Female
Chewie is a sweetheart of a girl that had a rough first part of her life. At 7-8yrs old, she was one of 4 dogs k9.5 took from a breeder seizure who starved and neglected 31 dogs, Chewie came to us heartworm positive, full of worms, emaciated and sick. She is now in good health, has put on weight, and she looks lovely!

Chewie is a little shy with people but she does warm up with lots of love. She is very loving and adores her people, handing out lots of kisses. Chewie does well with calm larger male dogs, but no others, and certainly no cats. She would do best with older children (15 and above). She requires a fenced yard due to the breed's tendency to roam.

While doing okay, Chewie will need some continued help with potty training. She does know how to use doggy door.

Chewie loves to talk to you and will carry on a great conversation. She is named Chewie because she sounds like Chewbacca! :-D She has a bright smile and great expressions, and is just a ton of fun. If you'd like to meet her and see for yourself, just let us know!
