My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LOUIS THE GREAT
Born June 16, 2013, Male, Bi Color Purebred Ragdoll

COURTESY POST: Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat. We take no responsibility for the health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.

Hello, I am Louis – but you can think of me as Louis the Great. My current mom tells me I remind her of Louis XIV, because I am a regal, stunning, fluffy boy. No wonder: my parents were Canadian and American Grand Champions. I am over 20 lbs...no, I am not fat; I am just a magnificent, strapping big boy.

You are thinking to yourself, why would anyone ever want to rehome such a fabulous boy? Well, for some reason only known to myself, I feel this urge to be a bit of a domineering bully with my little kitty sister. My current owners thought they’d do me a favor by getting me a female companion about 1 1/2 years ago. She even came from the same breeder, so they thought for sure we would bond. What they didn’t know was that I was quite happy being the one and only King of the House. See, I LOVE my humans and I basically wanted them all to myself. I actually get a bit jealous when my human mom spends too much time with this little kitty girl. Ok, confession time: I am a bit of an affection hog myself. What can I say?

My current mom tells me all the time that I am not just loving, funny, and playful, but I am also smart as a whip. I am great with cat-savvy children, and I really like my family’s dog. But when it comes to this little kitty girl, well, I can’t help myself. It’s just in my nature that I have this need to pounce on her, and she doesn’t like it, so she hides, which then causes my mom to become upset, then she gives me a time-out in the bathroom, and then I meow to be let out of the bathroom. Oh, I wish it could be different, but what’s a kitty to do?

So, in order to restore balance in their home and to give my kitty sister freedom to come out from hiding under the bed all the time without fear of my pouncing on her, my mom has contacted this great organization, and they have agreed to help find me a purrfect forever home.

I wanted to let you know that when my family went on vacation, they had me stay with friends who had a male domestic cat. That kitty boy and I got along just fine. And like I said, I do like kitty friendly dogs.

I will come with my kitty tower, toys, and food. I am neutered and have all of my claws intact, which I only use on scratching pads. Oh, and one more interesting thing about me, I am actually trained to use the human toilet instead of the litter box, but, of course, I also know how to use the litter box. I am in perfect health.

I am looking forward to making your acquaintance.
