Molly's Story...
Good golly, I'm Molly! I'm a sweetheart of a dachshund and my tail never stops wagging. I'm 10 years old and 18 pounds which is just perfect for a lap dog, don't you think? I'm very well behaved and only bark if someone comes to the door. I'm very easy going and like everyone I meet, two or four-legged (even cats!). I'm down for whatever as long as you're nearby to tell me it's ok. My favorite things include walks, snuggling, riding in the car, and playing with soft toys. Since I'm a doxie, I LOVE to eat, especially the cat food! My forever family will have to make sure I stay slim and trim. I'm up to date on my shots, spayed, and microchipped. My adoption fee is $200. Email rescueofhope@gmail.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Molly, a Grand Rapids Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Grand Rapids, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Grand Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
