A woman found Parker, fka Torch, abandoned at the Decatur dog park and he ended up at Dekalb County. Luckily, a nice man had seen him there and knew Parker did not belong there. This man and his wife visited Parker at the shelter on multiple occasions and found him to be incredibly loving and sweet. They committed to fostering Parker.
Parker is actually an incredibly sweet boy. He has met several other dogs, kids, and even two cats at a neighbor's loft and he was great with everyone. Parker is housebroken, crate-trained, and very smart! He already knows sit, down, stay, and kennel-up. He is an active and agile boy so he loves a good play session or game of chasing squirrels in the backyard. Parkers perfect family would have a big comfy couch since he absolutely loves lounging on a sofa full of pillows. He would also love to have a canine sister or brother to play with as he does okay with most dogs. He is good with other dogs and likes to wrestle with his foster sibling. Parker would prefer a home without cats or children under 18 years of age. He can be a bit weary of strangers as first, but he warms up and will show his snuggle bug self.
