Sassy's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Sassy's Story...
Born December 2010. Approx. 36 lbs. Sassy is a 6 yr old basset/dachshund mix. She is an independent girl who loves to explore the outside. She thinks sunbathing is pretty cool too, especially if you have a bench that she can lay on. This sweetheart loves to have her belly rubbed and thinks riding in a car is a very special treat! She will gladly jump up in your lap for any attention you wish to share. She is good with children and generally good with larger cats and dogs. She would also do fine as an only pet. Don't be surprised if she is seen peeking out the window! She likes to keep track of what's happening. Miss Sassy gets along with everyone. If you are looking for a more mature pup that will be fairly active during the day but curl up by (or in) your bed at night, look no further. Sassy is your gal! Come meet Sassy and see how much joy she can add to your life.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sassy, a San Leon Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in San Leon, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in San Leon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Leon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Leon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Leon paves the way for another one to be saved.
