My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Everybody meet Jenny a 1-year-old shepherd/ terrier mix. She is the sweetest, most loving, and best cuddlier you will ever meet. She will steal your heart the minute you see her. She has beautiful fur with the softest ears. Jenny has a chocolate/brown/ tan fur that is like no other. She has the best puppy eyes that will make you love her even more. When you first meet jenny she is very shy and relaxed, but as soon as you get her into a yard and off the leash she runs in circles for about 5 minutes non stop. She is still trying to understand the concept of fetch, but we are getting there!

Jenny is fantastic on a leash; she walks right up along your side. She would be a great to go on walks/ slow jogs with around the LSU lakes or even in a neighborhood! She is still learning her commands, if you bend down and clap/whistle and yell jenny she will come running over to you. She will play with your shoelaces or even bite them, but that usually means she wants you to play with her. Her favorite way of playing is when you run and you try to trick her on what way you are going. When Jenny sees a dog she gets an instant smile on her face and just wants to play with them. Jenny is not much of a barker. Jenny would be great in a home with a big fenced in backyard. She would also be good with kids over the age of 10 years old and she would also be good with other dogs, or even her being the only one is fine.

Jenny loves to lie down next to you and get patted. Her favorite spots are her ears and her tummy and she loves to give kisses! Inside the house jenny is very relaxed and would also be a good dog to sit and hangout with, but outside she does her little spasms and it is the cutest and funniest thing. Jenny’s kennel stays fairly clean, so she should be pretty easy to potty train. Jenny was found at a park, you would never guess that because this dog always has a smile on her face and is always so happy! So come on down to the shelter to meet this beautiful happy dog!

All dogs in the adoption program are examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and micro-chipped prior to leaving the shelter.
The adoption fee for dogs over 25 pounds and over 6 months is $50
