Umbrella of Hope 'Be Our Pet'

7 year old, 11lb, tabby male-neutered cat who is looking for his forever home!

THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING FOR ENCINA VET HOSPITAL IN WALNUT CREEK, CA-- please contact acsutu@encinavet.com for more information or to set up a meet and greet

Max is a very loving, 7 year old, 11lb, tabby male-neutered cat who is looking for his forever home!

Max was surrendered to Encina Veterinary Clinic hospital nearly a year ago when his owner’s could not provide care for him.

Max came in with an urethral obstruction which means he needs a special diet to accommodate his special needs.  We are willing to work with adopters to help with this cost if needed and will send him home with a year's worth of food.

Max doesn’t like it here with us, the noises and smells are very stressful to him. Max is a gentle, loving cat who is very emotional. He has a soft soul.

Max would need to be slowly integrated into a home with pets given his easily stressed emotional state; he is initially very stand offish when it comes to meeting other animals but in time, he tolerates other critters as long as he has his own space.

Max loves his belly and arm pits rubbed. He loves any and all human interaction, loves to be around others, often finds a lap to lay in, enjoys cuddles and being held, and would be a great addition to a home who is looking for a loving cat!

About Umbrella of Hope

About Our Rescue Group...

Umbrella of Hope exists to rescue, rehibilitate, and rehome animals from shelter situations with a focus on East Contra Costa County, California. Our goal is to reduce the euthanasia of adoptable animals through increased adoptions of those animals already born. Help increase public safety by reducing the number of strays and feral animals through population control who might carry disease or pose other dangers to the community. Provide resources to pet owners to enable them to be responsible forever guardians of their companion animals. To increase public awareness of homeless pets, encourage spay and neuter of companion animals, and promote adoption for the acquisition of family pets.
