My name is Linc, and I would love to be the 'link' your family is missing! I am a little shy at first but warm up quickly. I get along great with my foster brothers and sisters, and I mastered the doggy door in ONE DAY!!! I am house trained, and I love to be close to my human foster family. I love walks, toys, hanging out on the couch watching tv, and car rides. I especially love sleeping with my humans. I think the perfect home for me will be with either a couple/family that has time to train me with no small children around.

FOSTER UPDATE (5/17/16): Since I came from being a stray my humans do not really know what I have been through and have come to find out that I am VERY afraid of loud noises, fireworks and thunderstorms.  I will go in my kennel if I must but I do NOT like it one bit. I know it's for my own safety, but I don't understand the whole lock up thing. I am very stubborn and if I do not want to do something that my humans want, I can show that stubbornness. I know that I need some training to learn better manners for those type of things. I love the tiny humans that come over all the time, but my foster Mom is careful not to leave me alone with them in case I decide that I do not like something they do to me or want me to do. I have a little bit of food aggression when others pets challenge me around my food, so my foster mom always feeds all of us separately.

About Basset Buddies Rescue of Texas

About Our Rescue Group...

Greetings! We are a non-profit organization devoted to the rescue of homeless basset hounds in Houston, TX, and surrounding regions. Bassets are rescued from shelters or received as owner turn-ins and placed into foster homes. Medical conditions are addressed and all unaltered animals spayed and neutered prior to being adopted by their new "forever families". In addition to rescue efforts, our group is also focused on promoting a sense of community amongst those who are owned by a basset hound (or would like to be).
