My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fergus was picked up on Milltown Rd on 3/23/16. He appears to be an adult Mountain Curr and hound or shepherd mix. We believe he and Ennis may be brothers or related somehow. He is a very sweet boy, very meek, and we think at some time he has been abused or hit by a car possibly. His jaw appears to have an old injury and may have been broken. It's not just an underbite but his jaw is crooked. We will be monitoring his food intake to make sure he is eating well enough and will make adjustments accordingly as needed for his well being. He loves being petted but will go off to himself for a bit of peace and quiet. He is fully vetted so his adoption fee is $15.

Would love to see him and Ennis adopted together as they appear to be bonded.

By TN state law stray dogs are held for 3 days so they can be found by their owners before being put up for adoption or rescue. A dog found as a stray wearing a collar is held for 5 days before it is put up for adoption or rescue. Our shelter is a first come first adopt/rescue facility. There are no holds placed on dogs for potential adopters/rescue. They are available at 7am on the day they are available and must be picked up and paid for at that date/time. An adopter or rescue cannot call and hold a dog to be picked up at a later date. It is available to the public until it walks out the door.
