Blu's Story...
This awesome kitty could turn a grey sky Blu! Blu is a beautiful 13 year old love-muffin who can turn any frown upside down with her awesome purrsonality. She's a moderately chatty kitty, who prefers to communicate by purring, rather than singing (like some of her Siamese peers!). Her front paws are declawed. Blu came to us from a family who loved her very much, but had two large dogs who chased her, so Blu had to be kept isolated from the family for her safety. Recognizing that this wasn't an ideal situation for her, they asked us for our help. Blu loves to be loved - she's well known for preferring a nice lap to sit in! She may be no spring chicken, but this awesome kitty loves to play with foil balls - they keep her entertained until she's ready to get back to snuggling! Blu has a condition called megacolon, for which she's on a few different medications. But don't let that give you pause; Blu is easy and cooperative when it's time to take her medication. Blu is looking for a home where she can be an "only child" - she simply doesn't want to share the spotlight! Blu would do well in a home with respectful human kids over the age of five.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blu, a Oak Park Siamese cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siamese for sale in Oak Park, or seeking a Siamese cat from a breeder in Oak Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siamese breeders who help with Siamese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
