Meet Luc fka Rocky! Does this dapper older gentleman not have the face to steal a million and one hearts? We rescued Luc from a high-kill shelter in California where he came in as a stray. He is micro-chipped but sadly his owners did not come for him when they were notified that he was there. Well no worries for this 8 year old neutered fella because we were there to step in and help. Luc gets along well with other dogs, knows basic commands and is an absolute lovebug. If he is not giving you kisses, he is sitting so attentively beaming love, he will shake your hand and sit for a treat taking it from you gingerly as he bats his long lashes at you for another one. *** We do not set up meet and greets without an approved application. Applications can be found on our website; ***

About Redemption German Shepherd Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Redemption German Shepherd Rescue is foster-based 501c3 rescue headquartered in Northwest Indiana. Our focus is on senior and adult German Shepherds.

Our mission is to give homeless and discarded German Shepherds a safe and loving environment while they recover with needed love, medical treatments and/or training while being rehabilitated to the point where they can be placed in furever homes.

We will never settle for second best – not in our board members, volunteers, fosters or adopters. Our commitment to the highest quality of care for our dogs will never be ignored. Our love and passion for the German Shepherd dog compels us to place the dog’s well-being first and foremost. We will care for each dog as if it were a member of our family.

We understand that there are a lot of unwanted dogs and we cannot save them all. But we will strive to make a difference in the lives that we do save!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are a foster based rescue, therefore all of our pets reside in foster homes. Available pets may be seen at events or by appointment with an approved application.

Our Adoption Process...

You must fill out an application before you are eligible to meet any RGSR dogs. The application is the first step to every successful adoption! Adoption donation requests start at $250.00 for senior dogs and go up from there. All dogs are temperament tested, evaluated, up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
