My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SOPHIE is 31 lbs of pure joy! This girl wants nothing more than to climb up in your lab and give you kisses. She is just over a year old, house trained, and quiet in her crate. SOPHIE lives in a foster home with 2 labrador retrievers and young children. She came to an Easter event at a local church where she met and gave kisses to over a hundred children! She also played with and smooched quite a few pups. She loves everyone! SOPHIE enjoys lounging on the couch, playing with her toys, car rides, and going pretty much anywhere. SOPHIE will give her forever family more love and happiness than you would ever imagine could fit in such a pint sized package!

SOPHIE is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations.
Her $450 adoption fee includes interstate health certificate and transport to the New England area.

An adoption application for SOPHIE can be found at the following link: http://wp.me/P73YMd-1h
Please email the completed application to weatherley.woofriver@gmail.com.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).

Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.

Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
