Aubrey is a pretty little brown/orange torbie (tabby and tortie mix) with a cute, found face. She has a really unique orange stripe down the back of her head, almost like a flame. She was rescued by a former Heartland adopter when she was dumped at their house. As much as they wanted to keep her, their kitty was not so keen on adding another cat to the mix, so they contacted Heartland to see if we could help. Fortunately, we had a space open up so Aubrey joined her current foster home. She is a sweet cat but can be a bit independent and prefers attention on her terms. If you are looking for a low-maintenance companion who will give you space when you need it but also enjoys cuddling and affection, then she is the perfect cat for you. Aubrey is very playful and loves to chase her toy mice and laser lights. She likes petting and ear/chin scratches and will rev up her purr motor when she’s happy. She can be somewhat bossy to other cats so she would do best as an only kitty or with a cat that is very laid-back and will give her space. She may adjust to a small, cat-friendly dog but older kids are preferred as young children may be stressful to her. Canned food and treats are two of her favorite things and offering her either is a quick and easy way to her heart. Aubrey is spayed, tested negative for Feline Leukemia/FIV, microchipped and current on vaccinations – DOB 5/26/13, tag # 8549.
