Here's a big ol guy who would love nothing more than to find his forever home. Dozer is a handsome American Bulldog Mix who is patiently waiting for a forever home. Dozer's former family surrendered him to us so we can find him a safe forever home as they could no longer care for him. Dozer is 3 years old and a large sized dog. Dozer dreams of a big yard and an active family who will take him on walks. This big ol baby is leash trained and loves people. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm tested. Dozer does well with cats, but needs proper introduction to other dogs with a trained pack leader. Our kennel techs have grown very fond of Dozer. If you have space for a large dog and can be a consistent and loving companion, please submit an adoption application to ITVRescue@gmail.org This guy deserves a life outside of our shelter and a new best friend to grow old with together.

About It Takes A Village Canine Rescue, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

It Takes A Village Canine Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) dog rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless dogs irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, animal control, trainers, and boarding facilities, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, black dogs and other hard-to-place dogs.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are generally at Petsmart on Burkhart every Sunday and have adoption events at various locations throughout the year.

Our Adoption Process...

We require all adopters to complete an application and pay an adoption fee. Adoption fees vary, but are usually $150 to $175. We may do a vet reference check and/or home visit.
