This dog is being fostered in Dallas TX and must be adopted within the Dallas, North Central Texas or the southern Oklahoma area.
NAME: Kami
GENDER: Female (Spayed)
AGE: About 14 weeks (as of March)
WEIGHT: Currently 4 pounds (final weight estimated at 6 pounds)
DOGS/CATS: Great with other small dogs, Unknown with cats

Meet adorable Kami. Kami is a joyful puppy who will be ready for a forever home in the April timeframe.
Kami's story sounds like it comes directly from a movie - but it is TRUE! In early February, a good Samaritan stopped at Walmart to pick up some items. As they got out of their car, they noticed a box in the parking lot that was moving. As they peeked inside the box - low and behold they found 2 abandoned little puppies. Yes, it's true - someone had left 4 week old puppies in a box! This kind person swooped them up, and got them to safety. CRT was contacted and immediately took these puppies in to our program.
Kami and her sister Kora, have been growing up and having a fabulous time. They are a Chihuahua mix - part Chihuahua and we believe they may have some Corgi in them. Whatever they are -- they are 100% adorable.
Kami gets along with the other four legged siblings in her foster home. She loves to run and play, play, play. She tumbles, jumps and has so much joy in her life. She is pure puppy!
Once she is done playing, she crashes and rests! She loves her people and loves to cuddle. Kami is really smart. She is learning the routines very quickly. She is working on her potty training and doing great. She is also crate trained. And she is learning to walk on a leash.
Kami would love to have other dogs to play with. She would also do great as an only dog as long as she would get activity and attention. Kami and Kora can be adopted together, or separately. She loves people and should get along great with children.

Kami will be spayed in the next few weeks. She is micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative. and on heartworm prevention. She will be ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?
