Mickey's Story...
Hello my name is Mickey! I'm a sweet and spunky year old boy that was brought in by the police department with three other siblings of mine. We were left in an abandoned house, and two of my brothers are very unsocialized and scared because we haven't been around people much. None of us have been on leashes very long, but I am taking to learning new things and meeting people the most and the fastest. We can be nervous sometimes because people left us behind, but we are sweet dogs that deserve loving homes. Fill out an adoption application at www.al-van.org if you are interested in adopting!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mickey, a South Haven Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Beagle for sale in South Haven, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Beagle dog from a breeder in South Haven.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in South Haven already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a South Haven breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Beagle breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in South Haven paves the way for another one to be saved.
