I am a special needs pet, up to date with shots, and good with kids.

Twister's Story...
Hello my name is Twister! I'm a very big boy that is gentle, but has spurts of energy when I get excited (you can tell by my name). I'm around one and a half years old which is why I have a good amount of energy, but I love to learn new things! I'm a sweet boy that would fit well into any home, I just need a bit of obedience training. Unfortunately I am special needs because I am heartworm positive and will require treatment. Al-Van Humane Society will pay for this treatment at Phoenix Road Animal Hospital, but it does require some extra care while I am being treated. Come and see me at the shelter today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Twister, a South Haven Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Labrador Retriever for sale in South Haven, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in South Haven.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in South Haven already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a South Haven breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in South Haven paves the way for another one to be saved.
