My story

Laura is a 6 year old timid but sweet cocker spaniel rescued from a puppy mill. She is looking for a calmer adult home with another friendly dog to help her adjust to life in a real home.

Thanks to our friends at No More Tears rescue we are able to help many of these special survivors from Amish "USDA licensed breeding facilities" aka puppy mills. These timid but sweet natured adult girls spent their whole lives in wire cages breeding litter after litter of pups to be sold online and in pet stores throughout the tri-state area. They usually come to us in dire need of vet care, grooming, and socialization and do best in calmer adult homes that will be patient as they adjust to life outside of a cage. They love other dogs are are comfortable in their presence, so need homes with at least one other friendly dog for them to follow and help them adjust. We do not have a shelter- all our pets are in foster homes and can be seen by appointment only during the week, or at our weekly pet adoptions every Sunday at the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains from 12:30 to 3PM at 3009 Route 10 East next to 5 Star Car Wash (formerly Boulder Car Wash) in Morris Plains (Denville on GPS).
