Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Melvin is seriously my FAVORITE foster that I have had in awhile. He is one of those dogs that makes me half consider adopting out one of my personal dogs & keeping him instead! Totally kidding, I would never... BUT I don't know how else to describe how amazing he is!! I got Melvin & his brothers as owner surrenders. I was told he was part of an accidental litter. Mom was a Jack Russel Mix, no clue on dad (we spayed mom for the owner so no more accidents!). Melvin looks different than his siblings. He looks like a dachshund/beagle mix (& howls like one too!). Melvin was my favorite out of the litter... I mean besides his AWESOME personality, how many dogs do you know with a perfect HEART imprinted on the side! :D
Melvin sleeps in bed with me every night (don't tell the trainers you know!). He cuddles into my neck & it is just heart melting!! What can I say, I love a cuddly dog :) However, there are some nights he does have to sleep in his crate & minus a little crying for a few mins he is quiet & sleeps through the night.
Melvin is great with kids, other dogs & cats! He is pretty mellow for a puppy but can still have his crazy moments! LOVES to play & LOVES to be cuddled.
We ALMOST have the house training down. When I can't watch him or when I have to leave he goes in his crate. Never has accidents in there. When I take him out we go outside right away & he does his business. He does great as long as I take him out every few hours. If I let him roam he will have accidents. So as far as house training goes I'd say get him on a schedule & use crate training & he gets it.
Melvin was born Jan 21st. He is currently 8 lbs. I would expect him to get around 30 lbs when grown. Maybe he will stay smaller it is really hard to tell right now.
Melvin's adoption fee should be a million dollars because he's really THAT special :) But his adoption fee is only 300. This covers all medical including neuter, vaccines & microchip. Let us know if interested!
