Chance's Story...
I'm Chance, the Great!! I'm just about the Best Boy Ever! I am 2 years old and totally housebroken and happy in my crate or in my bed. I'm super patient and easygoing: how many tough guys would wear onesies in order to avoid an e-collar?

I love to play, explore outside and sunbathe. I am polite with my foster siblings and affectionate with my human friends. I can also be a great watchdog even though I am a little guy at only 10 lbs full grown.

I'm just a Hoot when I roll over on my back like a Sea Otter to chew on a toy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chance, a Houston Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Houston, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
