Forest's Story...
Hi!
My name is Forest. I was found by a volunteer in the Forest Houses area in the Bronx, hence my name. I was left abandoned outside wrapped up in a towel. Now, thanks to New Beginning Animal Rescue, I'm now sheltered, fed, and given lots of love and affection by the staff and volunteers. It is nice here, but what would be even nicer is if I had a family and home to call my own. I'm estimated to be 3-5 years old, and get along with everyone, including children(10+) and other dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Forest, a Bronx Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Bronx, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Bronx.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bronx already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bronx breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bronx paves the way for another one to be saved.
