Scout's Story...
Scout is a young female who has already been through a lot of difficult times. Found as an emaciated stray, we believe that she was hit by a car. X-rays revealed that her pelvis was broken in two places, but due to the fact that she had a good range of motion, the orthopedic specialist did not recommend surgery. She has recovered well, but must limit exercise in order to prevent further injury. She also cannot be allowed to overeat as gaining too much weight would cause undue stress on her pelvis. Scout gets along well with other dogs, cats, and children. Scout is being fostered by Apryl in Orange Park.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scout, a Savannah Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Savannah, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Savannah.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Savannah already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Savannah breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Savannah paves the way for another one to be saved.
