This pet is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX and can fly to an approved adopter in the US and Canada. The fee is $550 and that covers the $125 tax deductible adoption fee, flight, crate, vetting and health certificate.
Hello dog lovers, my name is Rooty, yes like root beer:) As you can see from the photos I am a brindle gal, very petite I just 30 pounds and I am likely a Catahoula and terrier blend. I ended up at the city shelter on death row where I was very shy and scared but thankfully the staff did not give up on me until they found CARE rescue to help save my life. Now I am in a wonderful foster home where I have two little boys to play with and two dogs who have shown me how to be a family pet. I am still shy at first but it's not out of fear anymore it's just because I'm like silly putty. I am smart and aim to please but will need a patient family who will continue to socialize me and take me places introduced me to lots of people and other dogs so I can be the confident the puppy I meant to be. I am housebroken and crate trained and am learning to walk on a leash. If you're looking for a girl like me, I promise to be a loving and devoted companion.
