My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

QUINCY is a 7 year old neutered chocolate male Lab who weighs 87 pounds. He came into rescue with another dog but we found they could be adopted separately.. Quincy is a sweet boy. He was fine with other dogs at the shelter. No cats. Quincy is a big boy that loves to play with his stuffed animals! He is settled into his routine, and loves his food. He loves apples and bananas. He is learning to give paw with both paws. Since he's been with his foster, his legs have gotten so much stronger! He follows foster dad around the house all day, up and down steps, and loves chasing birdies in the back yard. He went swimming at Sandy Point State Park, and though he didn't catch a seagull, you better believe he tried! He loves naps, snacks, and being a velcro dog. He is house trained and does fine when left alone in the house. He also rides well in a car. Quincy is approved for kids ages 10+.

Update: Quincy can't wait to meet his new family and get settled in for the holidays. He loves cookies and his people! If you are looking for a sweetheart of a chocolate, Quincy is your man. He's a well behaved velcro boy! He loves cuddles and squeaky toys!

Update: Foster Friday! Tall, chocolate, and handsome! I'm Quincy, and I can't wait to be your loyal velcro dog. I don't like other dogs or cats, but you're my favorite. I love cookies and naps, and hanging out outside.

Update: Quincy is a sweet couch potato looking for a family that will make in the center of their world. He is a velcro dog who likes to be with his people. He likes snacks, Squeak toys and doing the occasional Zoomies in the yard.

Update:: This cuddle bug loves snuggle time, naps, and cookies! He loves putting his head on your chest for neck rubs and can't wait to greet you with a wagging tail! Quincy is looking for a family that just can't wait to shower him with love and attention, which he will reciprocate with following you around and letting you know he loves you.

Update:: Quincy is a big cuddly hunk that wants to be your netflix / tv buddy. He wants to be with you everywhere you go. He rides amazingly well in the car, and is an awesome sidekick for your adventures! Snacks, naps, short walks, squeaky toys, and endless love. What more could you want?

Update: Quincy is still looking for his perfect home. He loves his humans, and squeaky plush toys are his favorite. He’s never met a cookie that he didn’t like! If you’re looking for a couch potato that is more interested in your affection than anything else (except aforementioned cookies!), Quincy is your boy! Occasionally he enjoys a short walk, and he likes trips to new places (like the woods and the beach). He rides well in the car, and loves cuddles. He loves his dog beds and soft blankets, and would probably love your couch, too (if that's your thing!).

Update:: Quincy is just hanging around, and loving being outside now that the weather is warmer! He is going for walks, and playing inside when its too hot. He loves squeaky toys and gets zoomies in the back yard.

Update:: Quincy only needs two things: his humans and cookies! He's a lover, cuddler, and can't wait to be by your side!

Update:: Foster Friday! Adoptable Quincy loves watching movies and playing with squeaky toys! He loves to chase birdies in the yard, and loves every person he meets. He is always up for a new adventure!

Update: Quincy is a big brown lover boy who can't wait to run around the yard and take naps with his new family. He loves dog beds (his fosters have them strategically laid out so he can make use of whichever he'd like, tough life!). Need someone by your side? Quincy is your boy (and his head is right at hand-height, so you can conveniently pet him while walking. How thoughtful of him!)

Update:: Quincy is learning to fetch, and he can officially give you his paw! Quincy is a cuddler, and can't wait to go home with you! Quincy should be a solo dog, with no cats, as he chases them! He's 7 years old, and loves bananas and apples!

Update:: Quincy is a big ole love bug. He chases toys like a puppy, and loves to cuddle. He is a velcro lab that wants nothing more than to be with his humans. His coat is gorgeous! He is doing better with stairs and explores the house a bit on his own, but always comes right back to sleep by Foster Dad's feet. He has fallen into a routine really well, and is such a good boy. He sleeps quietly at night in his bed, and if you get up, he gets up, checks on you, and goes back to sleep. He's a low energy dream boat. Just look at how handsome!!

Update:: My name is Quincy, and I can't wait to meet you! I love to cuddle, and I've never met a cookie I didn't like. My ears perk up when you squeak a toy, and I love to chew antlers!

Update:: My name is Quincy, and I want to sit on your lap! My hobbies include sleeping, eating, and short walks. The only thing I love more than sleeping and eating is my humans! I'm so content when getting my head scratched and just chilling out. If you're looking for a low-energy couch potato, Quincy is your guy!

Update:: Quincy is a sweet and gentle guy. He loves to be the center of attention and will do best in a home as the only dog. He absolutely loves to be petted and talked to, and he wants nothing more than to snuggle with his humans. He used to be an outside dog but has adjusted well to living indoors. He is housetrained and crate trained. Quincy has a weak back end and needs to go to a home with limited steps. He enjoys going for short walks several times a day. Quincy chases cats, so no cats. We have no kid history,

Update : Even though Quincy came in to the rescue with Reagan, we discovered that he would bicker around him, so it was best to let them find separate homes.

Update : The boys have arrived at their new foster home. Things are going well with the boys. The resident dog and them are ignoring each other. They're very friendly. They are house trained. More to come as they settle in!

Update): Quincy and Reagan are a calm, easy pair. They love to be loved on – Reagan grunts while you rub his ears, and Quincy closes his eyes in bliss. Both of the boys love to play ball and walk well on an EZ Walk harness ly). Both are fast eaters and do well with a SloBowl. They are highly food motivated and are quickly learning to take treats gently. They respond to a firm “sit” or “go lie down” command; we have not worked on much else as they are so easy to handle. Both are too interested in the resident cat, so a cat-free household may be best.
The boys were outdoor dogs and are learning to live inside. They figured out the comforts of home quickly, finding the dog beds and cozy blankets. They are now housebroken while foster is in the house. They are not destructive and do not need to be crated (left in mudroom when foster is out). Both can handle stairs (foster has lots of stairs, inside and out), although less would be better for Quincy. If you have hardwoods Quincy asks that you place runners or mats down for him to walk on; he does well on tile, linoleum, Trex, slate and carpet. In short, Quincy and Reagan are sweet, loving boys and look forward to finding their forever home!

Update ): Quincy and Reagan are so happy to be in a foster home! When their foster parents picked them up, Reagan immediately ran to the open SUV and jumped in, ready for his ride! Quincy ran to the SUV, propped his front feet on the bumper, smiled and me and said, “please lift my butt” (he needed a little boost). So cute. They rode nicely all the way home. Reagan and Quincy were very calm during introductions to the resident male and female dogs, despite the resident lab barking at them for at least an hour. They respond to a firm “sit” and “go lie down”, and simply love to give kisses and be loved on. All the pups settled for a nap after a romp outside the first night. They had a good first day in their foster home. These boys love to chase tennis balls and retrieve, dropping the ball at your feet. The boys settled nicely in at home, despite their history as outside dogs. Reagan found the dog bed and Reagan likes to sleep at the feet of his foster mom. Both slept the day away while their foster mom worked. They both had sponge baths yesterday. Both were cooperative, and Reagan sprawled on his back and grunted while he had his tummy scrubbed. They are an easy, loving pair!
