Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We have a pair of adult male chinchillas that are looking for their new home. These boys have been here for a little bit of time, but they are now finally ready to leave and explore the world outside of the rescue!
Mulder and Scully are a pair of grey male chinchillas. They are estimated to be born between 2012-2013, making them between 3-4 years old. Scully is the more outgoing of the two, while Mulder is the one that tends to be a bit shyer and lurks in the back of his cage. They are both active chins and they enjoy running around their cage and especially running on their flying saucer wheel. They would do well with playtime in their new home and would probably love using you as their own personal jungle gym! They are both very sweet chinchillas, they do fine with being handled and petted, but would prefer to be out running around and exploring. They don’t bite.
These chinchillas are a pair and can only be adopted out together.
These chinchillas would make a good “first chinchillas” for someone who’s never had chinchillas before, as long as they understand that they are more on the active side.
As with all our chinchillas/rescues, Mulder & Scully will come with 4 pounds of food to start you out (Mazuri pellets), some chews/treats, and a printed out version of our care packet. We also have additional supplies for sale, including our popular Starter Package ($25) which contains 5 pounds of food, 2 pounds of dust, 24-28 oz of hay, some chews/treats, and a hanging toy.
Regardless of past chinchilla experience, all potential homes will be asked to read our chinchilla care packet and fill out our adoption application/chinchilla questionnaire. If you are unwilling to do this, please do not waste our time or yours. No chinchilla will go to a new home without an adoption application being filled out - no exceptions.
