Butch's Story...
Did I hear someone say they wanted a sweet lil dog? Well, hello! Sweet happens to be my middle name! How about a fun dog? That could be my last name! I am a happy lil chap with all the makings of a mighty fine companion…I just need someone to be my, well, companion! I love to run and play with other dogs, I just adore people and children 6+ too, even cats and I get along well so long as they don’t mind a fun game of chase now and then! I am also crate trained, do great on leash and am very eager to please. Call me Mr. Butch Sweet Fun Dog and come on in to meet me, I’m just waiting on you! 5 years old-7lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Butch, a Portland Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua for sale in Portland, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
