Calvin's Story...
You better believe my toosh still looks good in a pair of jeans, these Calvin Klein’s fit like a glove! You know what else will fit just right? Me in your lap! I know I’m not some young Calvin Klein model with rippling abs, but hey I’m only 9 and have taken great care of my body to make sure I still look good at the end of your leash. Sure I’ll need a little TLC to keep me happy and healthy throughout my golden years, but just remember with age comes wisdom…and boy am I wise! I know how to rest soundly in my crate at night, potty outside, obey basic commands and I have great social skills with other dogs, cats, and gentle children 5+. So, what do ya think? Do these Calvin's fit? 9 years old-15lbs. My adoption fee is $120 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Calvin, a Portland Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso for sale in Portland, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
