Dorchester's Story...
This adorable little pup is approx 8 months old and weighs 16 lbs as of 4-1-16. He should be in the 20-25 lb range when fully grown. He looks like a corgi mix. He has a very soft coat and is just precious. He is very sweet and quiet, just a pup so will need house and leash training, loves everyone, loves to run and play with the other dogs, very nice disposition and personality - just an all around nice little boy. He is a typical puppy who loves his toys and would love a buddy to play and hang out with.

The total adoption cost of $475 includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration . The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. All our dogs are in foster care, there is no physical shelter. Some have not yet arrived in PA.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dorchester, a Allentown Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi for sale in Allentown, or seeking a Corgi dog from a breeder in Allentown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Allentown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Allentown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi breeders who help with Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Allentown paves the way for another one to be saved.
