Facts about Pickles

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Tiger Striped
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
Pickles was a 7 year old stray in a neighborhood for a few years. One of our volunteers brought him in when he was looking horrible as in the 3rd picture. We are looking for a home or long term foster with no other cats that can give daily medicine to our friend Pickles. He has Pemphigus, which is an autoimmune disease that can relapse under stress, such as our shelter. It is not contagious but he does not like other cats. If not you, can you think of anyone that might open their heart and give this guy a chance? Bringing back to the shelter will most likely cause a relapse for the 2nd time. Each time he relapses it is harder to get the disease under control. He is currently at our vet's office and this is not ideal either.

If you are interested in adopting or fostering Pickles, please call 508-994-0220 or e-mail

Eligible for Senior for Senior Program. Available for a reduced adoption fee for seniors over age 55.
