Note: Dogs are pack animals and do not do well away from other members of their pack. The adopter is the alpha member of the pack, and the dog or puppy needs as much one-on-one contact with the alpha as possible. For this reason, all Route 66 Rescue Inc. dogs are adopted to inside homes only. Thank you for understanding we want only the best for the dogs you give a forever home.
Casey is a loving, anxious to please, very energetic pup. He is great with other dogs and loves attention from youngsters as well as adults. He is a bit too active for toddlers. He is very active and energetic. We found out a couple of weeks ago that he absolutely loves the water! Spray the hose and he will go running through and try to catch the drops hitting the ground and stream coming from the hose. He is working on commands.
Casey needs someone who will take him walking on a regular basis. Casey knows how to sit but needs some more training on his basic commands. He is completely house trained. Casey will sometimes bark when he is unhappy or not with his person so he needs someone who will work with him on that! Casey loves car rides and will stick his head out the window to catch a good breeze! Casey is a lovable, energetic, playful, young boy who loves giving kisses. He gets along with all humans of of all shapes and sizes. He's good with other dogs (he doesn't even acknowledge my little dogs) and he ignores my cat. He likes to be the center of attention and doesn't like being by himself. I've had him one night and he slept in my bed with no accidents. He slept all through the night, but he's an active guy during the day
Casey needs a foster home, or forever home with an active family who is interested in training a dog. He loves his toys and needs human or canine brothers or sisters who love to play.
