Vester's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Vester is a cute little Cairn Terrier who weighs 12 pounds. He has the cutest ears ever and is about 4 years old. He loves to play fetch and is super adorable. He was taught an awful thing where he growls when you pet him (this is what happens when people pet dogs who are misbehaving, teaching them that is what you should do), so we are working to reverse this behavior. He loves to be pet and will be all in you lap wanting attention, and then growl while he ge ts it. So he would be best with a family who is willing to work to teach him that isn't how it works (ie pet when he is being quiet and stop when he growls). He didn't mind the dogs in my house (big and small). He will require regular grooming, and did I mention how adorable his ears are?????

He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and ready for a forever home of his own! You can find out about our adoption process and apply online at:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Vester, a Sacramento Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
