Aubrey's Story...
Aubrey is a snuggle puppy. She loves to play with her foster family's resident dogs. Since she is still a pup, Aubrey would do best in a home with calm, patient kids. Aubrey loves to be outside and has learned how to ask to go outside both to run around her foster family's fenced in backyard, and to do her business as needed. Her foster family keeps her in a small area when she can't be watched, and makes sure to take her out whenever she's had a long nap, played hard, or eaten a meal. With this routine, Aubrey has only had one accident in her foster home, which is a pretty big deal for such a young pup! Aubrey, like most puppies, likes to chew, but as long as someone keeps redirecting her to something okay for a puppy to chew on she does just fine. Aubrey sleeps through the night at the foot of her foster parents' bed. Aubrey loves to be with her dog friends and her people. When her family leaves the house they keep her in the bathroom with her chew toys, a blanket and some water and that seems to work out better than a kennel for her. If you are looking for a playful pup who loves to romp outside, chase a ball and snuggle up once she has spent her puppy energy, Aubrey may be the pup for you! Aubrey is estimated to be about 10 weeks old and weighs about 12 pounds. Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom and dad are!), we are just guessing on breed and size when grown.

All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They have all had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, are treated for fleas, have a heartworm test if over 6 months old and are up to date on a heartworm preventative.

Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 60 mile radius of Minneapolis. If you are interested in meeting this dog please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website at under Adopt and we will get back to you to arrange a meeting in the foster home.

We also have an Adoptable Dog Meet & Greet on Saturday April 16, 2016, at Fetch Delivers Warehouse, 783 Harding St. NE. Suite 150, Minneapolis, MN 55413, from noon - 2 pm. Occasionally dogs cannot make it to the Meet & Greet, therefore feel free to verify if your dog of interest is able to attend. Please bring a copy of your pre-adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Aubrey, a Minneapolis Hound (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
