HI! My name is Belle, and as you can see, I have it all! I'm gorgeous AND funny! So, just some back story on me, I don't remember much of my first home, but my foster mom says they were big dummies because they didn't socialize me or train me or teach me right from wrong. Somebody else rescued me from that home, but only kept me for one night because I knocked their two year old over. I wasn't being mean, she ran, so I thought she wanted to play!?!? I went to a different home the next night, but I DID NOT like their dogs. So then I went to my foster mom's house. She doesn't give up, even though she says she wants to ring my bell sometimes (she doesn't, and she always gives me hugs after saying that). Let's see, what else?
Oh, yeah. As I said above, I HATE other dogs. I will need to go somewhere that doesn't have any other dogs. I don't understand what this fascination is with other pets...ANYHOO...I do fine with cats, although I should probably be monitored. Mom says that sometimes I play too rough, but that's just me!! Oh, and, I LOVE FOOD. FOOD? TREATS??? OH, MY GOSH!!! Carrots are my thing! I also love treats! This will get me in my crate quicker than ANYTHING! I AM crate trained, by the way...pretty proud of that. I only whine in there if someone doesn't give me a bone, otherwise I'm booooorrrrreddddd. I'm not gonna lie, I'm kind of neurotic (I didn't know what that meant either, Mom had to explain it to me). I pull on the leash when we go for walks, and if you're not paying attention, I'll be OUTTA there. I just want to run and play all day. I also jump on people, cause I'm SO excited to get a new friend! Fetch is also my thing, I could totally do that for HOURS!
I went through a month long board and train, and according to Mom, I'm lots better now, but whoever adopts me will need to be on their toes. OH. I forgot. I LOVE kids, but they probably need to be a little older, because I get excited and can knock them down (what do you expect? I'm 60 pounds of solid muscle!). So I guess in total, I'm really sweet, love treats, love kids, love people, but HATE dogs. Yuck.
Thank you for looking at my profile, I hope I'm your new family member, but if not, please remember that there are thousands of GREAT dogs out there, so please keep looking!! - (your friend and maybe family member) Belle
If you feel your home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you promptly to tell you more and to arrange a time to meet!
The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes vaccinations and spay/neuter.
Belle is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.
