Charlie's Info...

I am already neutered and good with dogs.

Charlie's Story...
Charlie is a quick and clever neutered three year old Dachshund & Chihuahua mix. Charlie exhibits nice manners and good behavior. It's reported that he's good with other dogs, seems interested but not aggressive, and does well with older children. Charlie is easy on lead and makes eye contact. He doesn't appear to understand many commands but will stand up and walk on his back legs for treats or praise. Charlie is interested in toys and likes to play with the volunteers. If you're looking for a nice little fellow who will work hard to please and is probably up to learn some new tricks you should stop by and meet Charlie.

If you want to apply for Charlie, please visit the rescue and fill out an application. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Meridian Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
