My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LEO and LILY (formerly Apple T and Apple Lily) are a short-haired brother and sister who can be adopted either separately or together. They were adopted originally as kittens in 2008 and were recently returned because their family could not keep them anymore (not their fault), although they were well loved. They are about eight years old.

They are sweet, gentle, affectionate and well-behaved cats who would sit alongside their people and purr while being patted. However they did not tolerate being picked up and their new family should understand this. Apparently they were frightened of being picked up. They were both quite scared when they arrived but seem to be settling in much better now.

LEO is a distinctive shade of brownish-gray (taupe) with white tux, face, and blaze. That’s him in both pictures. He was apparently somewhat of a bully at the food bowl (and Lily let him get away with it). He is also cross eyed, a very endearing quality when you meet him.

LILY is all gray with white tux and chin. No picture of her yet. She is the more docile one and apparently had let Leo order her around. She may prefer to be an only cat where she could be doted on.

They are living in one of our open rooms (with many food bowls), and get along fine with other cats. They don’t seem particularly bonded to each other and may prefer to go their separate ways. Both would prefer a quiet home with adults or older children. Anybody who is looking for a quiet, laid-back, mature cat or two should come and meet them.
