Boone's Story...
Meet Boone! We rescued this California hottie from a high-kill shelter where he came in as an owner surrender. Sadly his previous owner was not able to keep up with the demands of two German Shepherds. Signs of neglect were evident when Boone arrived here but a few months later, he has gained some weight and his coat has improved tremendously. He is a 7 year old neutered male who is up to date on all vaccines but will have problems with his hips. Boone needs a home with little to no steps going outside and would prefer to stay on one level. He does great with both large and small dogs with a proper introduction but he really loves the ladies! He walks well on a leash and knows basic commands like sit, down and stay. Boone is a very mellow guy who would love a family that wants to relax and chill with him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Boone, a Kouts German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Kouts, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Kouts.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kouts already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kouts breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kouts paves the way for another one to be saved.
