My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Natasha is an adorable little 8 lb. dog with a charming personality. She is approximately 3 years old and was found as a stray in Boston. Her skin was terrible when she was found, but is starting to improve. She likes to sit on laps and does a happy dance when you give her treats. She seems to get along with other small dogs. She needs to be spayed prior to going home, and also needs to have one of her legs checked since she has a funny gait. She can be nervous when she first meets people and would probably not do well in a home with kids under age 12.

If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our dog adoption application here: http://medfieldshelter.com/adopt. Our dog adoption fee is $350. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash and a month's worth of heartworm preventative.

With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.

All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have one employee. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.
