Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Hilton and I’m confused! My foster family and everyone I meet tell me how wonderful I am, so I can’t understand why I’m still waiting for my forever family! Let me tell you why I just may be the perfect dog for you: First of all, I am an extremely handsome hound/beagle mix. I’m around three years old and I weigh about 35 pounds, so I’m the perfect size! I love people of all ages and I love playing with other dogs. If you have another active dog who needs a friend to play with, I’m ready, willing, and able! I love running around the backyard of my foster home and playing with their other doggies. I run, chase, pounce, and play tug of war! I love rolling around in the grass and I LOVE chasing squirrels! I enjoy taking walks around the neighborhood, but because of some scary memories from my days as a stray, I get nervous walking along a busy road since there are so many noisy cars. I do like riding in a car, though. Also, I am very smart! I know the commands “sit” and “stay” and most of the time, I do! I would be happy to learn more basic commands, if you are willing to teach me! In my foster home, I sleep in a crate at night, but I would be more than happy to sleep on your bed or on a sofa. I also stay in my crate when my foster family isn’t home, but my foster mom thinks she could probably trust me outside of the crate since I’m such a good boy. I have been neutered, I’m heartworm negative, I’m current on vaccinations, and I take my Trifexis every month – in peanut butter! Right now I live in Huntsville, Alabama but I don’t care where I end up as long as long as you promise to love and take care of me. Please fill out an application to adopt me at http://forrescue.net/dog-application/. After you submit your application, my foster mom will call you and tell you more wonderful things about me! Hurry, please – I can’t wait to meet you!
