Scout's Story...

Scout is such a good boy!  Energetic young pup who loves to sleep next to his foster daddy's neck. He plays with all his foster siblings  (whether they like it or not!) at a loud and frantic level. But he loves and snuggles just as hard.

Scout has to have other dogs to play with, a yard to run in and a person/people to sleep with.  He eats in a crate, but does not like being in it once he is done and will get very vocal about it.  He usually isn't left unsupervised at his foster home longer than 3-4 hours, and even then has lots of dogs and toys to play with so he won't get bored.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scout, a Richardson Italian Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Italian Greyhound for sale in Richardson, or seeking a Italian Greyhound dog from a breeder in Richardson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richardson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richardson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Italian Greyhound breeders who help with Italian Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richardson paves the way for another one to be saved.
