My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello Friends,
My name is Danny Boy and I'm so pleased to meet you. Now I'm not an Irish lad despite me name - oh! silly me! I'm a gorgeous bichon of about 18 months and 13 pounds with quite a story to share.
You see, before I became a furkid I led a rather different life. I didn't get out to meet people or other pups - and I didn't have a Dad in the house- so I was pretty isolated. I didn't know what toys were or the joys of running, chasing and even walking on a leash.
Well let me tell you, I'm catching up now! My foster family has an amazing 'pack' so I'm learning lots of new things from my doggy brothers and sisters. I've learned to run and chase - and to play with this thing called a 'toy'. (I'm not quite at the 'fetch' stage but I sure do like to carry it around.) And I've definitely convinced a grumpy doggy foster brother that it's a lot more fun to play with me than to be a grump! We race around and around the house and yard and play until we are all worn out. Then we nap, catch our breaths and start all over again.
Dad says I have the silkiest hair he has ever felt and that I'm as handsome as I can be. He's quite pleased that I'm housebroken and very good - and wants you to know that I'm crate trained too. Although I snuggle a lot with Mom, I'm still a little reluctant to do that with Dad but I'm definitely learning that he's a pretty neat guy who is patient and loving with me.
Best of all I have this special doggy foster brother who is a very confident and charismatic pup. He's taken me under his wing (well, more like his paw) and I'm feeling so much more relaxed when he's around to show me what to do. (Thanks Peabody.) Mom says having a confident big brother pup helps me to feel more secure and that's a very good thing. Each day I become a little more confident as I am learning from him. Someday I'm going to wake up feeling like I've become the little guy I was always meant to be.
So if you have a kind and patient heart, a furkid who is kind and confident and has been waiting for a doggy brother to train, like to go for walks and rides (in the car) then please ask for me. I'm still a diamond in the rough but I'm also a little guy with tons of promise. When you look into my beautiful brown eyes you will know that, with time, I'll be that amazing bichon I was born to be.
Tail wags and happy smiles,
Dashing and Dazzling Danny Boy
